Friendship Connections
Friendship Connections is a ministry to adults who are disabled. One Saturday a month volunteers create a worship time, craft, song, and share a meal with those who are disabled. This ministry is important in the lives of those it serves. For many participants friendship connections provides more than a fun day at Peace, it is a network of lifelong friendships. Below is a breakdown of some of the ways you can get involved. For more information you may contact, info@peacegahanna.org.

Friendship Bible Study:

On Monday evenings during the program year, persons from Peace get together with adults who are differently abled for Bible learning, music, art, prayer and friendship.

When: Wednesday evenings, September-May, 6:00-7:30 pm

Friendship Respite Ministry:

On the 1st or 2nd Saturday of each month, from October through May, Peace offers a “day camp” respite ministry for persons age 14 and above who are differently abled. Join us for Bible study, art, recreation, music, worship, food, friendship and plenty of smiles.

When: 1st or 2nd Saturday of each month, October-May, 9:00-5:00 pm

Camp Friendship Connections:

Get away for a week at camp. During the 2nd full week in July, 25 adult campers with cognitive disabilities spend five days at camp participating in Bible learning, art, swimming, boating, fishing, archery, dancing, campfires and more. Come serve as a camp companion or adult leader.
