H.O.P.E

HOPE [Homeless/Outreach/Programs/Events] is a ministry that reaches out to the homeless in Columbus. This ministry gives aid to people who live in tents or under the viaducts and bridges. Our goal/mission is to help them with the basic needs of life. For more information please contact Chris Broas.

HOPE once again hosted the 5th annual fall Picnic of HOPE on Saturday, September 24th at Veteran's Memorial. Approximately 2,000 meals were provided, 167 haircuts given, many pairs of feet washed, about 200 eyeglasses fitted, almost 300 flu or hepatitis B shots given, dental work done, health screenings provided, 10 tables full of clothing distributed, 20 bicycles awarded to lucky winners and hundreds of free hugs were shared during the event.

The 6th annual fall Picnic of HOPE is scheduled for Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Veteran's Memorial.

Joining Old and Young

J.O.Y. (Joining Old and Young) is a unique ministry designed to share the joy that our children bring to our lives with the elderly in nursing homes. It gives people a chance to experience the laughter and love that come with little ones. It is our hope that we will share God's love with residents as the children brighten their day and that the children will enjoy positive experiences with older adults. J.O.Y. is a joint ministry between Peace Lutheran Church and Stonybrook United Methodist Church.
