IHN (Interfaith Hospitality Network)
IHN (Interfaith Hospitality Network) is a program through the YWCA to provide housing to local homeless families.
Peace provides a meal for more than 140 people, once a month at the YWCA Family Center. Volunteers who participate in this ministry help serve a meal and talk to families who stay at the YWCA family center.
In addition, Peace has shown how to love our neighbor by donating funds that provide much-needed COTA bus passes to shelter guests. Transportation is a vital element to help central Ohio’s most vulnerable and with shelters at full capacity they are regularly short COTA bus passes of their current need. These passes are given to the homeless (including pregnant women and disabled adults) to allow them to make doctor, employment, and housing appointments. In previous years, the Peace community has overwhelmingly surpassed the donation goal, raising more than $5,300. This year’s goal of $6000 would provide 1500 bus passes to our to our neighbors in need. Show your support!
If you are interested in volunteering to serve a meal at the YWCA facility or would like to provide food items for the meal please contact Missy Rush.
