Interfaith Hospitality Network

IHN (Interfaith Hospitality Network) is a program through the YWCA to provide housing to local homeless families.

Peace provides a meal for 200 people once a month at the YWCA Family Center. Volunteers who participate in this ministry help serve a meal and talk to families who stay at the YWCA family center. If you are interested in volunteering to serve a meal at the YWCA facility or would like to provide food items for the meal please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. Below is a message from the Community Relations and Volunteer Manager

The YWCA successfully completed a $7 million campaign and opened the Family Center in 2005.  This innovative center not only provides emergency shelter for families in Central Ohio, but it also provides them with the tools and services to fine stable employment and housing.  Recognized by the National Community Development Association as a national model for emergency shelters, the Family Center offers high-quality support t families experiencing housing crises.  During the average three week stay, families are assisted with an action plan giving them the proper tools and services to find stable employment and housing.

Our award winning Family Center is only one component of the YWCA's mission to eliminate racism and empower women.  We fulfill this mission daily by providing services for women and their families in every stage and station of life: quality, affordable childcare for infants and children; support for homeless women and families; leadership programs for teens and young adults; and opportunities to gather, share, and network for women working in and outside of the home.  We are grateful for your support and hope you will continue to share your passion and resources with us.
