Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry. HFHI seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.  For the past nine years, Peace has joined with Thrivent Financial to build houses in Franklin County.  In 2016, the Peace/Thrivent Team participated in the raising of two homes, from foundation to roof. The team volunteered one Saturday a month, providing volunteer builders and volunteer lunch providers.
