Doug Warburton, Pastor

Doug loves being a part of a terrific family. He and his wife Mari have been married since 1997 and never have a dull moment raising their two boys AJ and Matthew. They love vacationing in Emerald Isle, North Carolina where they enjoy swimming and making enormous sandcastles.

Doug came to Peace in 2005 from Alleluia! Lutheran Church in Dublin, Ohio where he served as a Mission Developer from 1999-2005. He graduated with a Masters of Divinity from Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Bexley, Ohio. Doug went to college at THE Ohio University and loves to state that he might be the only OU graduate to go into ordained ministry.

Doug’s passion is exploring Scripture, making discoveries, and sharing these discoveries with the congregation. Doug serves Peace by being involved with small group ministries, adult education, the new member process, worship planning, and care ministries.

Doug enjoys running and long distance bicycling. He also loves Skiing and together with his father, has skied in Colorado, Utah, British Columbia, California, Nevada, New York and West Virginia. Doug prefers a tall Guinness over fine wine. He has the misfortune of cheering for the Cleveland Browns but the good fortune of being a life long Cincinnati Reds Fan.
