Creation of new official policies for Endowment Fund Team as well as the Gift Policy
Active/Confirmed Members of Peace:
In June 2025 Members of Peace Lutheran Church voted to ratify a new constitution. At that time, the Vision Board’s position descriptions and several congregational policies were included as part of that ratification. Our additional governing teams (Endowment, Finance, Stewardship) now need to update their policies and practices and present these drafts to any stakeholders who may be interested in creating a final policy. To that end, we are beginning with the Endowment Team (Fund) and the Gift Policy. We are using SignupGenius to keep track of the people wanting to be involved in specific policies. If you want to be included in a specific policy team, use the included link to sign up. (You can also call the office and ask a staff member to add you to a team.) When the team feels the policy is ready for approval, a vote will be taken; therefore, attendance of the stakeholders is necessary when the vote is taken. (Why Sign Up is important.)

- The Peace Lutheran Church Mission Endowment Fund Team needs a policy document compliant with Peace’s new constitution that specifies how the Endowment Team will operate and how the Endowment Fund will be managed. The committee has created the attached draft policy document. If you are interested in being involved in the process, please SIGN UP HERE to let us know of your interest in being involved. (In-person and online opportunities provided.) If, after reading the draft policy, you have comments, suggestions, or questions, please direct them to Alan Hewett ([email protected]) and Pat Rocca ([email protected]) and comments, et al will be sent to the other people registering interest in the policy. We are setting a meeting to discuss the policy on March 1, 2026 at 11:45 AM in the Fellowship Hall (or via zoom).
- The Peace Gift Policy is maintained to inform members of Peace Lutheran Church how (and in what ways) they may provide a gift and how the congregation will utilize the gift. The policy document that the finance office has utilized since 2024 is being offered as the starting draft. If you are interested in being involved in the process, please SIGN UP HERE to let us know of your interest in being involved. (In-person and online opportunities provided.) If, after reading the draft policy, you have comments, suggestions, or questions, please direct them to Pat Rocca ([email protected]) and comments et al will be sent to the other people registering interest in the policy. We are setting a meeting to discuss the policy on March 1, 2026 at 12:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall (or via zoom).
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Pat Rocca in the church office (614.337.1000) or by email at [email protected].
