Camp Friendship

Photos of volunteers working with developmentally disabled adults- painting fingernails, having a picnic, and smiling in a group photo.
Camp Friendship is an annual summer experience (in the second full week of July) for adults with disabilities. Volunteers including camper companions, cooks and servers, and respite volunteers are needed at camp each year. Internship and community service hours are available for students who volunteer.

1) Become a Camper Companion: Pair with a camper for the week.
2) Volunteer to help serve meals: Having overnight campers means feeding our overnight campers! Help prepare and or serve the meals for our campers and companions. Help one day or more.
3) Serve as a Respite Volunteer: This is a great opportunity for individuals or families (ages 14 & up).  Join us in Peace's Fellowship Hall to play games and do crafts with Campers, 6-8pm Tuesday-Thursday. Serve one, two or all three days! You'll have a blast!

Friendship Ministry

Friendship Ministry is Peace's outreach program with disabled adults. Through various monthly activities to a week-long residential camp in the summer, Friendship Ministries changes the lives of those it serves, as well as the lives of those who serve.

Friendship
Bible Study

On the first and third Thursdays of each month (fall-spring) join us 6:30-7:30pm, Fellowship Hall, as we join our adult friends with cognitive or developmental disabilities for Bible learning, music, art, prayer and friendship.

Friendship
Respite Ministry

On the first or second Saturday of each month (October through May), Peace offers  a 9am-3pm  “day camp” respite ministry for disabled persons age 14 and above. Join us for Bible study, art, recreation, music, worship, food, friendship and plenty of smiles.
Volunteers are needed to help provide food for and serve lunch meals during Respite Saturdays. Volunteers are also needed to assist participants in respite activities. Volunteer once in a while, or every month! Contact Pat Tietz to get involved.
