“Music is peace of mind. Let the sound of music build a bridge between you and heaven.” -Hildegard von Bingen

Bells of Peace
The newest of our music ministries, Bells of Peace is a great opportunity to make music together. In bell choir, every person is equally important, as the full set of bells (10-25 ringers) functions as a single instrument. The sense of accomplishment created by performing together is unrivaled in other musical arts. This group rehearses for one hour a week, and offers music periodically at the traditional service. All are welcome, no experience necessary!

Contemporary ConneXions
This vocal ensemble leads our contemporary worship in both music and spoken parts of worship. This smaller group is great for those with a more soloistic voice, and the confidence and faith to be featured in front of congregants. Accompanied by our Praise Band, this ensemble is high energy and truly makes worship a meaningful experience for all. This group rehearses for one hour during the week, then meets Sunday morning to soundcheck and rehearse prior to worship. Contact Que Jones to join this small vocal group.

Quinton (Que) Jones | Peace’s Worship Arts Leader
Music in worship should be participatory. With that in mind anyone and everyone is welcome to join a choir, sing or play a solo, or participate in the arts aspect of a service in any capacity. Both for the traditional and contemporary worships. I am here to help with this through open communication, a spirit of love, and most importantly a centering of faith. Please be in touch with me if you’d like to see about joining any of our music and the arts opportunities. By way of letting you know a little bit about me, I am a Columbus, Ohio native (Groveport Madison), who did my undergraduate degrees at Capital University, and my masters at The Ohio State University. In my time studying I also did a semester in Hungary at the Kodály School and Liszt Academy. I am a lifelong Lutheran, growing up at Faith Lutheran in Whitehall. My call to faith and worship has always been led by music, both in the hymns I grew up with, and the contemporary styles from the radio. |
David Fleisher, Organist:
David is a native of Central Ohio and began studying piano at age 7. By age 13, David regularly served as organist and accompanist for church services and school choirs in his community. He has served as organist for several congregations in Central Ohio. David earned his undergraduate (Finance) and Graduate (MBA – Marketing) degrees from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. While attending OU, he studied classical organ performance with Dr. Eugene Wickstrom – a rare permission granted to a business student. David’s primary career was as an operations manager and project manager with Nationwide Insurance for 28 years. David continues to serve as Associate Organist at the Ohio Theatre in Columbus; a role he has held since 2006. In addition to music, his other hobbies include restoring historic buildings and his collection of classic cars. He is also one of the few individuals fortunate enough to enjoy a restored theatre pipe organ (a 1926 Wurlitzer) in his home. |
